It’s The Record, Stupid!

What’s different about the 2012 and 2008 primary at this point?  Unlike McCain, the Mainstream Media and the Establishment GOP aren’t the only one telling us to vote for a squishy moderate.  Ann Coulter, John Gibson, Brit Hume, all conservative, are saying the same thing?!?!

Don’t vote for Newt!

This is the same Ann Coulter that claimed if we don’t nominate Christie, Romney will be nominated and he will lose… …is now belittling us if we’re considering Newt.  I guess we’re already laughing Ann.

There’s just one little problem for Ann, the Media, the Establishment GOP, and now Conservative Pundits:

  • Conservative Voters followed the Establishment GOP candidate, McCain, and got royally screwed
  • When Mitt Romney was in power, he capitulated to the left enacting ObamaRomneyCare, State Mandates, top-down Government, and he installed liberal judges
  • When Newt Gingrich was Speaker of the House, he gave us the Contract With America,Welfare Reform, and a (so-called) Balanced Budget

Why are Conservatives ignoring you?  It’s the Record, Stupid!

Also On FBI’s Most Wanted List: Blueprint For Missouri

As scarce as details on the Missouri Caucus, we have a new entry into the cloudy world of Missouri Politics.

This tidbit and tease also came in the most recent Capitol Reports from Cape County’s Representatives: It is “The Blueprint For Missouri”.  I suspect that’s something akin to the “Contract With America of 1996″.

There are several issues the House will debate during the 2012 Legislative Session.  The principle agenda here in the Missouri House is called the Blueprint for Missouri. The Blueprint is our plan to move Missouri forward. The program rests on four important issues: protecting taxpayers, creating jobs, reforming schools and protecting our values.

And, I say ‘tease’ because they must be teasing the plan and preparing the grand press release for… …say… …2013.

I searched the webernets for ‘Blueprint For Missouri’.  Many, many pages of links were returned, so I reviewed the entries on the first 5 pages of Google links — 50 in all.  From that I opened 13 web pages that looked promising, and the actual blueprint was only mentioned here and here and here and here and here and here.

What I didn’t find was an official Missouri House, Senate, GOP or Republican web page or press release describing in detail the bullet points in the “Blueprint For Missouri”.  Many of the pages were articles with vague descriptions of the purported document, and only one web page had what may or may not be a comprehensive list… …assuming the MO GOP was kind enough to share it with them.

Hey Republicans; how about we get the details of this Blueprint out on, say, MOGOP.org?!?! …along with a detail list of the non-tentative locations of the caucuses.  I’m sure there are several issues on the Blueprint for which Missouri activists could lend their support!

Democrats And Obama Want To Kill Old People

The latest meme of the Obama perpetual presidential campaign is that Republicans want to get rid of Medicare, Social Security, and Medicaid… …and kill old people.

That campaign slogan is scary and it works.  Polls are abounding that 70% of Americans don’t want Congress to reduce benefits of the Big 3.

Yet, there is not one Republican proposal that affects anyone currently on those programs.  As a matter of fact, the Ryan Budget Proposal gives Americans the SAME health care options enjoyed by Federal Government Workers and only people under 57 (or 50 depending on the plan) will be affected by the changes Ryan proposes.

The only plan that does kill old people is the Democrats lack of change to the 3rd rail of politics. More-of-the-same will ensure that seniors will die when the country can no longer pay for their entitlements.  You cannot pay for the $100 Trillion in unfunded entitlements with an Eat The Rich campaign!  Period.

h/t www.flagsclipart.net

But, as usual, the Republicans don’t get it and are losing the messaging campaign.  So, here are three tag lines that Tea Partiers, Republicans and Conservatives can/must use:

  • Democrats and Obama Want To Kill Old People
  • GOP Pushes To Give Seniors Same Retirement As Federal Workers
  • Conservative Plan Will Save Your Retirement (from Democrats)

Of course, you need to have the facts to discuss the issue when questioned, but it’s in the 1st 10 words that the message gets out.  A paragraph of explanation is lost in the haze of Car Pools, Lunch Plans, and Gas Price Worry.

And, the important part?  Tea Partiers, Republicans and Conservatives can/must drive home these consistent themes every time they get in front of a crowd, camera, microphone, or computer.

A Tale Of Two Brains

Yahoo blogger and former Newsweek-worth-a-dollar White House correspondent Holly Baily reports on a study commissioned by scientist actor Colin Firth where the findings cite differences in the brains of Liberals and Conservatives.  Why do I suspect that the Liberal brain will come off sounding better?

h/t http://www.freedigitalphotos.net/

Holly writes, “Using data from MRI scans, researchers at the University College London found that self-described liberals have a larger anterior cingulate cortex–a gray matter of the brain associated with understanding complexity. Meanwhile, self-described conservatives are more likely to have a larger amygdala, an almond-shaped area that is associated with fear and anxiety.”

One might think a Conservative will cling to their guns and their bibles.

Funny thing on the way to Holly’s links.  When you follow her links, the words “understand” and “complex” are nowhere to be found.  Sorry, I wasn’t going to pay $31.50 to read the full article from Science Direct.  In one of her links, Conservatives were said to be “sensitive to threat or anxiety in the face of uncertainty”.  Sounds a little different than “associated with fear and anxiety”, or is it just me?

I guess if we’re going to spin things, we could look up the Liberal’s Anterior Cingulate Cortex and find that “neuroimaging studies have also identified the ACC’s involvement in transient mood changes, depression and anxiety disorders”.  At least I wouldn’t have to add words that aren’t in the article.

When we look into the larger Amygdala in Conservatives, we can find a Boston study that indicates that those with larger Amygdala are “social butterflies” and “live in larger and more complex groups”.

“The study examined 58 adults, between 19 and 83 years of age, using brain scanners and a survey that measured participants’ social networks. Researchers found the size of other brain regions was not correlated with the size of the social network.”

Thanks Holly for your article; we’re sure you didn’t mean to introduce any subjective bias into the objective science.

And thanks to commenter Benjamin for this old joke:

A Cannibal goes to the butcher.  He sees lawyer brains @ 8.99/lb, doctors brains @ 10.59/lb and politicians brains @ 39.50/lb. He asks, “Why so high for politician’s brains?”

Butcher replies,  “Do you know how many politicians have to die to get a pound of brains?”

Immoral To Cut Spending

Today’s E-Mail from your favorite top leftist organization (has ‘Move’ in its title) decries spending cuts by the Republicans in Congress as immoral efforts to take money out of the mouths of babes:

“What kind of country cuts food aid to hungry pregnant women and children in the middle of an economic crisis—while giving a giant tax break to billionaires?

Seriously. WTF?!

The Republicans are winning the battle over the budget, hands down, even though what they’re fighting for is, put simply, immoral.”

Personal Pregnancy Blog

I agree.  Seriously.  WTF?!?

The Left has won the argument over the past 50 years by playing to emotion; the above is a perfect example taken from that playbook.  They also count on their sheep being less than thoughtful — okay, ignorant.

Just a couple of quick thoughtful questions to those they hope to be ignorant.

  1. What tax breaks were given to billionaires?  None.  Death taxes were re-instituted (raised) on the wealthy and otherwise tax rates were kept the same.  NO tax breaks were given to billionaires.
  2. If the food aid to hungry pregnant women and children is so important, why is the Left fighting so adamantly to continue to fund NPR?

But, that’s using ‘logic’ against the Left’s ‘emotional’ arguments.  And, we will lose again.

So, if the Left is indeed so worried about the children, I emotionally ask these:

  • Why is the Left fighting so hard to continue to spend the labors of generations unborn?  Are the people of this generation so pathetic that we must take from future generations to pad our own selfish lives?
  • Why is the Left fighting so hard to kill off that new generation of taxpayers through their IMMORAL abortion policies? What about that baby, yes baby, that had it’s spinal cord severed to kill it before it came out of the womb?  Or that baby that had it’s heartbeat snuffed out by a Leftist Abortionist that took it’s unborn life?

The Left has the corner on the market of immorality.  Any time they cry wolf about the Republicans’ activities, the hypocrisy meter spins off its dial!

Harry’s Bitch

Apparently, Harry Reid thinks the House is his bitch.  Someone might want to tell him that the House has every bit as much power as the Senate!  If a bill passes the Senate and doesn’t pass the House, we have the same effect as if a bill passes the House and doesn’t pass the Senate.

In light of those thoughts, it might behoove Mr. Reid to give his ‘friends’ across the aisle — across the Capitol — their due and bring the ObamaCare Repeal Act to the floor of the Senate.  He might want to remember that Mr. Boehner has the same power to decide what comes to the House floor, and that he, Mr. Reid, might have some legislation that starts in the Senate that he’d like to see on the floor of the House.

Mr. Reid thinks he’s tough and Boehner is his bitch.

But, if the Republicans paid any attention to the VOTERS in November of 2010, Boehner better be 10x tougher than Dingy Harry thinks he is!

State Of The Union RSVP

Warn your local Congressmen that the RSVP they give to the Democrat’s co-opting of the State Of The Union Address may be used against them… …and us.

In the latest attempt by the Left (Democrats, Liberals, Progressives, et al) to quell free speech and silence dissent, they have callously called for less vitriol, calm, unity, and crossing-the-aisle all while stoking the fires with their own rhetoric.

Now, the Left is calling for the integration of Democrats and Republicans at the State of the Union address this February to show “unity” and a “willingness to work together”.  If the Republicans fall for this cold-blooded attempt to create a photo-op for the President, they are as clueless now as when they lost the House, Senate, and Presidency in 2006 and 2008.

Picture for yourself the 75-ish outbursts of applause and ovation with Democrat Senators and Democrat Congressman standing up ALL OVER the House Chamber while Republicans stoically harumph!  Think about how such a display will give the indication that the entirety of the Senate and the House and all of the People are ONE with “The One”.  Remember the disgusting nature by which the Left Wing Media has used the Tucson Shooting to further their agenda and consider that in light of how the integrated SotU will be spun!

Republicans be warned.  You are being played by an soulless enemy and a corrupt Left Wing Media.

If this unified seating arrangement is such a wonderful idea, tell the Democrats you’ll start that new trend the next time a Republican is President!

My Parents Went To The Tucson Memorial Service…

…and all I got was this T-Shirt:

With continued prayers for the further healing of Gabrielle Giffords and the others injured this past Saturday, with prayers for their families and loved ones, we must re-focus our efforts on the world at hand and the upcoming votes in the newly Republican-led House of Representatives.

Here is a link to a letter on the American’s For Prosperity website that I ask you to forward to your Representative and Senator.  Sign up with AFP to stay up-to-date on current legislation and action needed to get our Federal Government headed in the right direction.

Now back to our regularly scheduled Memorial, I mean, Campaign Event.  The outlandish actions of the attendees and organizers of the Memorial Service in Tucson, AZ on 1/12/11 are reverberating through the country today.   From a “Together We Thrive” T-Shirt for all, to raucous yelling and hooting during the service, to booing the Arizona Governor, the attendees brought shame on the event and the country.

Lefties like Media Matters are trying to downplay the usage of a Memorial Service for a Campaign Event by, once again, attacking Right Leaning radio, pundits, and news services.  But, again, right-minded (clear-minded) folks will be polled and assess the event as yet another tragic exploitation of a Memorial much like that of Paul Wellstone.

While the President’s speech was mostly eulogistic, he did break out his oratorical skills to raise the pitch of the adulation from already frenzied to near delirium.  I could almost hear, “4 More Years” echoing through the hall.

And to those that booed at Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, you are scum for further denigrating the event in honor of fallen families, heroes, and citizens.

But, the President couldn’t help himself from raising the ire of your humble blogger.

I quote, “If this tragedy prompts reflection and debate — as it should — let’s make sure it’s worthy of those we have lost. (Applause.) Let’s make sure it’s not on the usual plane of politics and point-scoring and pettiness that drifts away in the next news cycle.”

The President’s words scold both Right and Left for their actions following the death and injury of those involved.  Yet, the vitriol so decried was clearly initially advanced by the Left against Tea Party, Radio, TV, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity.  And, the simple defense against these unfounded accusations has been used as evidence for guilt (further accusations of vitriol) by the left.

I have yet to hear someone from the Right convict George Soros, Obama, Chris Matthews, or Keith Olbermann for their over-the-top rhetoric.  I have yet to hear someone blame Mr. Maddow.  I have yet to see Peter Lewis accused.

It doesn’t matter.  Racism, Murder Accomplice, Vitriol, Politically Correct, Class Warfare.  These are the tools of the left, and they will use them at will…

…even at the Memorial of those lost at the tragic events in Tucson, AZ.

Mr. President, don’t you dare scold me for the actions of the people who reside clearly on your side of the aisle!

But what strikes me the most is how the Left is just PRAYING for the white male bomber or killer to be a member of the Right, the Tea Party, a Republican.  From Mayor Bloomberg with the Times Square bomber to anyone who told us not to rush to judgment over the Fort Hood killings… …the left can’t wait until they get their Tea Party Racist Hater Red Meat.

The Tea Party Is Anti-Government

I was reading this article, and stopped quickly to offer the retort below:

Stopped wasting my time reading this tripe when you claim the Tea Party is “anti-government”.  Makes me think you WORK for the left-wing mass media.  This is the same meme they advance daily.

Have you been to a Tea Party to see what the speakers and attendees say and do?  Or do you just write based on what the State Run Media spoon feeds to you after they find the one guy in the crowd with a sign that can loosely be called racist — before he got chased off.

Tea Party members generally believe (IMHO) that left-wing equals more government control, more taxes, more rules, regulations, control, more taxes, less freedom, more people on the dole.  That is the mode of operations of most Democrats and about half the Republican party.

Tea Party members are NOT anti-government.  They believe in measured government especially in the sphere of the Federal Government.  Items needing government control, not specifically listed in the Constitution, are left to the Government of the State and to the people.   Federalism.  That’s the mode of some Republicans and a few Democrats.

Did you get that?  We understand and believe in the necessary evil of Government.  We are anti-big-controlling-marxist-socialist-hitlarian-taxing-spending-wasting-communist-corrupt-giant government.

But, if you aren’t studied enough to know these basic facts about the Tea Party, you probably aren’t the best guy to go around commenting on their ideals.

FWIW, many of us are more upset with the Republicans than we are with the Democrats.

I also went to the 10/2 One Nation Rally with all the usual suspects (liberals / left-wingers / progressives) and the Communists / Socialists / Marxists / Anarchists!  And, the main thing I learned there is that we all have the same basic goal:  The ability for someone to work and have a decent life.

The difference is in the means by which we would make that happen.  It seems those on the left think that the fruit of the rich man’s labor should be taken from them by force and redistributed to the less wealthy.  Obviously, that is Obama’s ideal.

Those on the right think that they should be able to keep the fruits of their labor with minimal taxation and minimal government.  They believe regulations should be kept at a minimum to allow the poor / middle class to work hard to create their own wealth.  We right-wingers hate the idea of crony capitalism and blame it for many of the ills that plague our country.

And, it isn’t just the Republicans who engage in crony capitalism.  Look up the facts of how much money Obama got from Big Oil and Wall Street.  Take a look at how many Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan execs are flowing in and out of his Administration.

Yes, I understand that there are various flavors of liberal, left, progressive.

Attack me at will.
